Choir Tips
Music is an art form that expresses the many emotions that we experience. It goes far beyond mere words and speaks to the depths of our souls and beyond our consciousness.
There can be very few people who do not hear music in the course of a day. Technology makes it immediately available and even the tone dear (if there are such beings) enjoy its impact and rhythm.
Music comes at many levels--pop, folk, classical, medieval, Gregorian Chant--just to name a few, but do we ever thank God for this great gift? We tend to take it for granted and never relate it to the input and love of our Creator. it reveals the face of God and most of us look the other way!
I never cease to be amazed that the tonal structure of most music comes from seven white notes and five black ones. This apparently limited template has produced billions of compositions; symphonies, operas, songs and concertos, Masses and hundreds of other musical structures.
We should be on our knees thanking God for his gift or music; thanking Him for the revelation of himself that He has given us. Let us praise and take great joy in this wonderful art form.
May it always be a source of joy, consolation, comfort and happiness.

Regular attendance at scheduled rehearsals is important to provide good quality music. It insures that everyone knows what hymns are scheduled and have them prepared. New and old members are encouraged and welcomed. Instrumentalists and singers of all voice ranges are greatly needed.
Dedication to rehearsal is greatly encouraged. . It would increase the quality of performance at Mass. If you intend to sing at Mass you need to be at rehearsals.
